The Vltava River Map: Lenora - České Budějovice
The best and most travelled section of the Vltava River begins at the village of Lenora and continues to the village of Borsov nad Vltavou. This journey usually takes one week and is most often done in three sections:
- The upper part of the Vltava River from Lenora to Nova Pec (to the start of the Lipno Dam)
This part of the river may be used for water tourism from 01/06 to 31/10, providing the water level is sufficient (at least 500 mm reading at the water level meter in Lenora) to go down the river. The journey normally takes two days and you may spend a night at the camping site of Soumarsky Most.
- Nova Pec - The Lipno Dam - The Devil's Currents - Vyssi Brod
We transport boats and passengers (by request only) to Vyssi Brod.
- The bottom part of the Vltava River - from Vyssi Brod to Borsov
This part of the river may be used for water tourism throughout the year because of the consistent flow of water from the Lipno dam. The journey usually takes 3 to 5 days.
